The Applied Data Governance Practitioner Certification (ADGP) is designed for professionals who are ready to lead and implement data governance with real-world results. Grounded in a comprehensive, industry-aligned Body of Knowledge developed in partnership with recognized data governance subject matter experts (SMEs), this certification validates your ability to align data governance with business strategy, ensuring data quality and compliance, and driving organizational value through trusted data practices.
Course Structure
The ADGP Training Program offers a comprehensive learning experience through three focused micro-credentials. This program covers key data governance principles and frameworks, preparing professionals to lead initiatives and drive success across organizations. These micro-credentials can be used to either prepare for the certification exam administered by DATAVERSITY, or simply expand your applied data governance knowledge. Each micro-credential takes the knowledge and skills from the Applied Data Governance Body of Knowledge through to application with real-world examples and implementation tips.

Business Imperative for Data Governance explores six modules on drivers, ethics, privacy, compliance, ROI, and change management, providing practical tools, case studies, and frameworks to apply governance principles, drive value, ensure compliance, and foster organizational accountability.
Data Governance Foundations introduces core concepts, frameworks, and principles through six modules, equipping learners with tools and real-world insights to operationalize governance, ensure data quality, and implement sustainable practices across the data lifecycle in preparation for ADGP certification.
Data Governance Foundations builds practical skills in frameworks, stewardship, risk management, and collaboration, preparing learners for the ADGP exam and enabling them to design, implement, and scale governance programs that ensure data quality, compliance, and organizational value.

No, you do not have to be online at a specific time. You complete the coursework at the times and places that fits your schedule. Each course is designed for working professionals who are balancing their work, family and community commitments.
When do I start?
You can start the course as soon as you register! You will automatically be directed to the interactive learning environment.
How long will I have access to the course?
You will have 90 days from the time of registration to complete the course. It is recommended to complete the course in two weeks.
What is the refund policy?

Are there tests or quizzes involved?
There will be activities, assignments, and short quizzes within the course to ensure you understand the content. All quizzes are designed to be accessible and easy to complete by engaging in the course content. Within each module, you will have the answers to each evaluation.
