Learn how to plan an effective strategy and marketing communications plan, implement and review strategy performance using budgeting, resourcing, and reporting systems. You will understand key social media marketing tasks, processes, procedures and strategy. You will be able to carry out social media research; create and promote engaging social media content; execute and measure a social media strategy.

Liz Pittman
Liz is a freelance digital marketing and communications specialist in Victoria, BC. She works with clients across Canada in various industries to craft and execute effective social media strategies, create engaging and relevant content, grow community engagement, produce and host podcasts, write web, blog, and newsletter content, and provide social media training. She works with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and audiences and delivers customized solutions that meet their needs and expectations.
She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and skills with the next generation of digital marketers and communicators. She teaches social media marketing and digital communication at the University of Victoria, and developed and currently delivers three courses that make up the social media marketing credential at Assiniboine Community College. She enjoys creating interactive and practical learning experiences for her students and helps them develop their digital skills.

Is this an instructor-led course?
This course is designed to be self-paced with the option to join live online coaching sessions to further solidify learning outcomes. The course has been designed by industry experts and includes interviews with experts, aligned to the course outcomes. The course is an immersive experience that includes a mix of content including video, impactful readings, learning checks, and interactive elements – all which can be completed at your own pace.
How much time will I need to spend?
Each course will require 30-50 hours to complete. You will have 90 days access from the time of registration to complete the course. After 90 days, the course will be closed.
Do I have to be online at a certain time of day?
Yes, this course includes weekly group coaching sessions where you will interact with your course peers and the course facilitator, discussing topics in the course and related them to real-world examples. The coaching sessions are flexible, and you can opt into the ones that best fit your schedule.
When do I start?
You can start the course as soon as you register! You will automatically be directed to the interactive learning environment.
How long will I have access to the course?
You will have 90 days from the time of registration to complete the course.
What is the refund policy?

Are there tests or quizzes involved?
There will be activities, assignments, and short quizzes within the course to ensure you understand the content. All quizzes are designed to be accessible and easy to complete by engaging in the course content. Within each module, you will have the answers to each evaluation.
